Westlife Church 180°

Westlife Church 180° exists as a vehicle for God to transform the lives of Westlife members. Our prayer is that this page will help readers learn to celebrate God more completely, connect more intimately with other believers, grow more like Christ, serve humbly in ministry, and reach a hurting world by sharing their faith.

 The Westlife Church 5 Purposes

When we were thinking about establishing Westlife Church we were drawn to 2 key scriptures - The Great Commandment (Matt 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matt 28:19-20).

Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind... 'Love your neighbour as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (NIV)

Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. (NIV)

From these 2 scriptures we see the 5 purposes of the Church:
  • Love the Lord with all your heart (celebrate)
  • Love your neighbour as yourself (serve)
  • Go and make disciples (reach)
  • Baptising them (connect)
  • Teaching them to obey (grow)
Based on this our church mission statement became:

To connect people with Jesus and his family, help them grow to Christlike maturity, and equip them to serve in their ministry in the church and their life mission to reach the world, in order to celebrate God.


What We Believe
  • God is bigger and better and closer than we can imagine
  • The Bible is God's perfect guidebook for living
  • Jesus is God showing himself to us
  • Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us now
  • Nothing in creation "just happened." God made it all
  • Grace is the only way to have a relationship with God
  • Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God
  • God has allowed evil to provide us with a choice, God can bring good even out of evil events and God promises victory over evil to those who choose him
  • Heaven and hell are real places. Death is a beginning, not the end
  • The church is to serve people like Jesus served people
  • Jesus is coming again

My Giving

"But just as you excel in everything--in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us--see that you also excel in this grace of giving."

"Each person should give what they have decided in their heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

At Westlife Church, we do not believe in putting pressure on people to give. To enable us as a church to meet the needs of our church and our community we rely on people giving generously. We also encourage people to give as we know that they will be blessed in doing so.

The generous giving we have received has enabled us to have our Sunday services, run small groups, provide pastoral care, children's ministry, youth ministry, counselling, and numerous training courses. It has also enabled us to give away money to the poor and other ministries and missions.

We run an 'open book' policy so if you are committed to the vision of Westlife Church and have any queries, please feel free to ask questions and we can show you where the money is being used. Our Elders are our financial 'watchdogs' and review our accounts regularly. We are also audited annually.

There are three ways you can give financially -

Option 1: Automatic Payment
Our tithing bank account number is: Westlife Church / BSB: 064087/ Acc # 10016954

Option 2: Cheques and Cash
Place your cheque or cash in a giving envelope (available at the Resource Table) and place it in the giving bucket during a Celebration.

Option 3: Credit Card
Write your details on a giving slip (available at the Resource Table, in your weekly PULSE or at the end of each row in the USQ Auditorium) and place it in the giving bucket during a Celebration.
